Taiwanese Ding Tai Fung Pork Chop

Ingredients

  • 2 thin cut, boneless pork chops
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese 5-Spice Powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp shaoxing wine
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • vegetable oil to fry with

Fried Rice

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced
  • pinch of salt
